Terms of Service
Last Updated: September 28, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Héctor Ullate ("we," "us," or "our"), the publisher of Readino: the Readino app for iOS and Android ("App"), the website readino.app and the web sign-up at get.readino.app (together, "Readino").
By using Readino, creating an account or buying a subscription, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Readino. You must be an adult (18 or older) to accept these Terms, create an account or buy a subscription.
1. License and Use
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Readino for your family's personal, non-commercial use. Readino is designed for children aged 3–8, used under the supervision of a parent or guardian, who is responsible for how the child uses it.
Offline use: once installed and subscribed, the App's lessons work without an internet connection. Logging in, keeping progress in sync between devices and buying a subscription need one.
2. Accounts
- A Readino account is optional. You create one with your email address, in the App (Settings → Account) or by logging in with the email you used to subscribe on our website. We log you in with a one-time link or code sent to that address.
- An account is for one household. It can be logged in on up to two devices at a time, and a new device can take the place of another a limited number of times a month. We may change these limits and will tell you in the App.
- Keep access to your email address secure: anyone who can read it can log in to your account. Please do not share your account with people outside your household.
- You can delete your account at any time in the App (Settings → Account → Delete account) or at readino.app/delete-account. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription bought in the App Store or Google Play; see section 3.
3. Subscriptions and Payments
- Subscription required: Readino's content needs an active subscription. The plans and prices are shown before you buy.
- In the App: subscriptions bought in the App are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play and belong to your store account. You can restore them on another device signed in to the same store account with "Restore Purchase", or, if you log in to your Readino account, use them on your other devices.
- On our website: subscriptions bought at get.readino.app are processed by Stripe. For these purchases Link, a Stripe company, is the seller of record: it charges you, handles taxes and refunds, and its terms also apply. To use your subscription in the App, log in with the email address you used to buy it.
- Renewal: subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. If an introductory price or free trial is offered, it becomes a regular subscription at the price shown unless you cancel before it ends.
- Cancelling: you can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you paid for. Cancel App Store and Google Play subscriptions in your device's store settings. Cancel website subscriptions from the link we email you when you choose "Manage subscription" in the App (Settings → Account), or by writing to us. Deleting your Readino account also stops a website subscription from renewing.
- Refunds: refunds for App Store and Google Play purchases are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. Refunds for website purchases are handled by Link. We do not process refunds directly.
- Your rights: nothing in these Terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under the laws of the country where you live.
4. User Conduct and Restrictions
You agree not to:
- Copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App or Readino's content.
- Use Readino for any commercial purpose without our express written consent.
- Resell, rent, sublicense or share access to Readino or to your account with others outside your household.
- Interfere with Readino's systems, get around its limits or security, or access it with automated means.
5. Content and Intellectual Property
Readino's lessons, stories, illustrations, characters, audio and software belong to us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not give you any rights to them beyond the license in section 1.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
Readino is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, to the extent the law allows. While Readino is designed to support learning to read, we make no guarantees regarding specific educational outcomes or advancements in your child's reading level. We do not guarantee that Readino will be error-free or always available.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Héctor Ullate shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, or other intangible losses, resulting from (a) your access to or use of or inability to access or use Readino; or (b) any conduct or content of any third party on Readino. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
8. Termination
These Terms remain in effect while you use Readino. We may suspend or end your access, or your account, if you break these Terms. You may stop at any time by deleting your account, cancelling your subscription and deleting the App.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as Readino changes. We will post the new version on this page with a new date and, for significant changes, tell you in the App or by email. If you keep using Readino after a change, the new Terms apply.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which you reside, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
