Delete your Readino account
Last Updated: September 28, 2026
This page explains how to delete your account in Readino, the learning-to-read app published by Héctor Ullate, and what happens to the data kept with it.
In the app
- Open Readino and tap the Settings gear, then answer the grown-up check.
- Tap Account.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
Without the app
Enter the email address of your Readino account. We’ll email you a link: open it and press Delete my account to confirm. The link works once, for one hour.
You can also write to us from your account’s email address, and we’ll delete it for you:
What is deleted
- Your account and its email address.
- Your child’s profile saved to it: name, age, gender and avatar.
- Your child’s reading progress saved to it.
- The list of devices logged in to it. Every device is logged out.
- The answers given when signing up on our website.
What is kept, and for how long
- Records of payments made on our website, which tax and accounting law requires us to keep, for as long as it requires. They are no longer linked to an account.
- Progress kept on your devices stays there until you delete the app from them.
- Deleted data can remain in our database backups for up to 30 days, after which it is gone.
- Stripe (for payments on our website), Apple and Google keep their own records of payments, under their own policies.
Subscriptions
Deleting your account doesn’t cancel a subscription bought in the App Store or Google Play: cancel it there. A plan bought on our website stops renewing when the account is deleted, and stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
No account?
If you never created a Readino account, the app keeps everything on your device, and deleting the app deletes it. If you gave your email address on our website, the form above deletes what we kept from it too.
